Fragiles

During the COVID epidemic, I took a daily walk through the fields and woods in my neighborhood. On these walks, I collected materials and used them to make eight small, fragile fabrics with which I tried to express the vulnerability we were experiencing at that time. Seven of these fabrics found a new home, and one found a place in my own house. This work is very personal and refers to the lungs that are our leaves, trees, and forests. Because I have a daughter with cystic fibrosis, I am very aware of how important nature, forests, and clean air are.
